So of course I'm autistic and recovering from a web burnout so I'm trying to express myself as plainly and literally as possible, but I'm not complaining, and I'm very excited about boundaries basically following a Unix permissions model, this is something I've advocated for a few months ago. I'm just tired atm.
Indeed, if I create a web page, even if it's a microblog or plain WordPress blog post, I should still be able to control who can modify the page (by replying) or who can view it. This is infosec 101, whether the file is public or not.
It must be especially hard to implement and I believe Mayel and Ivan are geniuses for tackling this challenge, and I'm so glad and grateful they're doing it. I'm also very proud to contribute to this beta, and I hopee it will pacify the Fediverse (a bit).
