👋 As part of upcoming milestones, we're implementing a way for users to create circles (like in the old G+), but going beyond using it to define audiences (i.e. visibility of content), with very granular ways to define permissions on what you post (i.e. so you can give one of your circles permission to edit your post, or use it simply to lock-down who can reply, etc).
Along with that will come customisable roles for instance administration and moderation (to go beyond just having "admins"), and so we're thinking about what's needed for that, feedback and suggestions are welcome 😃, see details at https://github.com/bonfire-networks/bonfire-app/issues/406

@oct @dajbelshaw it's not, you're able to manually look up people or posts (pull) but not follow and federate automatically (push)
I have a suggestion for Bonfire:
- Add Vietnamese language on Transifex (I'll help translate)
- Add title for a post
- Split out hashtag from main content of a post
You should be able to add a sort-of title to a post by clicking the CW button. You can also give a name to an entire thread by clicking the top-right button when viewing a thread. And you should be good to go for Vietnamese on Transifex, thanks 😊
Can I post massive image files?
Yes, but they get resized and compressed. We should add to the settings what size they should get resized to, and whether to store (and optionally link to) the original. Not doing so of course reduces hosting costs.

Didn't knew but smelled like that so I've scrolled a few times. Seems that something is not triggered is it should, but it may be a combination of browser/plugins/OS.

I tested with a different browser and had a look at your post with the initial link. The embedded video is sent to an Invidious instance, but the link itself is not?
I'd expect the URL to link to an Invidious instance, too.
But nonetheless: Wow, cool that you developed this so fast 🤗
We could add a setting to have the links replaced as well.
Awesome, I've only checked this on mobile and it doesn't seem to be 'embedding' but rather previewing?
There's a thumbnail and clicking on it should open a modal with the embed.
It seems like it's not working? A normal Markdown link is fine, right?
It won't happen (at least in the current implementation) if you put an actual link, but only for raw URLs.

It would be really nice to be able to set redirect URLs for Youtube Videos, Instagram Posts etc.
The Fedilab App does provide it and then replaces all links to Youtube with the preset Invidous URL for example.
woo auto-embedding is working! in this case it's a youtube video which gets embedded via invidious.io (I should add which add setting what instance of it to use to settings actually)

PS. I'd really like the ability to edit posts. Can someone remind me again why other apps do "deleted and redraft" instead of edit.
