i was trying to find some brazilian mastodon instances but they weren't showing up. when I followed this account with my account in one of those instances, no notifications arrived. i was worried it was a bug on federation.
is this instance running on some sort of limited federation? how can i interact with other instances from this one? i just see a few specific instances in the remote feed.

Fire, 17th century Catholic repression
Daughter was full of cold at the weekend so we didn't end up going to a bonfire/fireworks display as we'd planned.
Tonight we all went out into the garden, toasted marshmallows on the fire pit and burned the 'guy' she made out of socks and straw at Scouts last week! 🔥
Bonfire seemed an appropriate platform to post this 😉
