I encountered this issue while using Bonfire:

The function get/3 in module Elixir.Access didn't receive data in a format it can recognise

I decided to see if it was possible to search for (and follow) federated accounts on other platforms, so I entered "@humanetech@mastodon.social". After several seconds the "All Types" tab showed no results, so I tried switching to "Users"...and the error above popped up.

Interestingly, I tried doing the same search in another tab and the search immediately yielded resulsts. So I'm guessing this is yet another timing/startup phenomenon.
