A quick update: we're just about ready to release the first iteration of circles and boundaries, which you can read about here: bonfirenetworks.org/posts/in... We deployed the update to the playground earlier but ran into a mysterious issue that didn't appear until now, so have rolled back to the previous version until we figure that one out. Wish us luck! 🤞

In response to several feedbacks related to the general layout and the composer experience, we prepared a few mockups to highlight some UX improvements we'd like to discuss with you.Main feedbacks gravitated around the possibility to have as much space as possible for the main content view, a clearer navigation menu and clear distinction between navigation and widgets sections. Looking at the near future, we tried also to imagine how to organize the space in the navigation sidebar to have enough space for groups and lists. In particular, we spent some time thinking at an altenative UX to compose a post. This is for different reasons:- We're working on flexible boundaries / lists - and a dropdown is not enough to let the user work with such granular permissions levels- We want to have a composer box that incentivate also toughtful posts, not just toots/tweets- We want to have a unique composer box that works in any situation (actual fullscreen mode is buggy)- We still want to be able to compose a post while scrolling the feed or reading through the comments in a thread- The composer box should not be always visible on the page, but it should be 1-click away to start composing a post (with keyboard shortcut also)- The user should be able to work on different drafts

A minor update was deployed to the playground, including a few fixes for things all have reported (thanks again!).There's also a new setting available in user preferences (see screenshot). #bonfire_feedback

👋 As part of upcoming milestones, we're implementing a way for users to create circles (like in the old G+), but going beyond using it to define audiences (i.e. visibility of content), with very granular ways to define permissions on what you post (i.e. so you can give one of your circles permission to edit your post, or use it simply to lock-down who can reply, etc).Along with that will come customisable roles for instance administration and moderation (to go beyond just having "admins"), and so we're thinking about what's needed for that, feedback and suggestions are welcome 😃, see details at https://github.com/bonfire-networks/bonfire-app/issues/406#bonfire_feedback

@EduMerco It could one of (at least) two issues:

@oct I've noticed the same (only on mobile for some reason). Added an issue here: https://github.com/bonfire-networks/bonfire-app/issues/395

Today, the Bonfire team is excited to announce our beta release 🔥🎉We're aware that Bonfire still needs a lot of work - like ensuring it federates as expected and improving configurability, accessibility and user experience - but that's the point: we decided to launch at this stage with the intention of building the 1.0 release as a community. 🗞️ Blog post: https://bonfirenetworks.org/posts/meet_us_at_the_playground/🐘 Toot: https://indieweb.social/web/@bonfire/108537013139105845
