A bonfire builder. They/them.
woo auto-embedding is working! in this case it's a youtube video which gets embedded via invidious.io (I should add which add setting what instance of it to use to settings actually)

PS. I'd really like the ability to edit posts. Can someone remind me again why other apps do "deleted and redraft" instead of edit.

It would be really nice to be able to set redirect URLs for Youtube Videos, Instagram Posts etc.
The Fedilab App does provide it and then replaces all links to Youtube with the preset Invidous URL for example.
I'm trying to run with just and I'm getting ** (ArgumentError) cookie store expects conn.secret_key_base to be at least 64 bytes on page request
./.env file, which you can run just secrets to generate (and then copy paste)
We've created a couple prototypes (as Bonfire extensions) and hope to get back to it soon: https://bonfirenetworks.org/posts/bonfire_coordination/
I don't think apps are configured for Bonfire, so not sure that would be a bug?
Great, will follow in Changemap, or in GitHub? Fragmentation can be serious issue... 😅
Hello Multiverse!
yeah, making it editable later (rather than when you start a new thread) is intended to make it more of a curation feature, and I think extending that power beyond the original thread creator makes sense, but of course it shouldn't be editable by anyone by default and it's worth discussing what the ideal UX may look like. This will tie into work on circles and custom boundaries: https://github.com/bonfire-networks/bonfire-app/issues/223
hi posting this from this new fedi software. I like having multiple identities per account and not having character limit

I noticed some UI glitch here:
image: a tooltip being partially hidden because it spans outside compose boxI like inlining image
testing markup
hmm how to escape this
the wysiwyg is nice but I find it somewhat hard to mark up as i will. Can I turn off this?
test quote
wait how do i escape this my backspace is broken
also I think we should be able to add images description
also is there custom emoji yet?
(now implemented and will be in the next release)
Hmm hidden figcaption? I think it would be nice to be visible on hover
it's visible in the modal when you click on the image, but that's a good idea!
wait this doesn't add hashtag. how do i add hashtag?
Any possibility we could move the project over from Github to something like Gitea, instead? They plan on adding federation, too :)
If you can't host your own instance, there's always codeberg.org
