Personnellement, j'reste intéressé par l'aspect personnalisé, extensible que prévoit l'équipe derrière ce projet. J'vois comme Mastodon avec plus de fonctionnalités centralisées pour éviter de perdre le Fediverse. Selon moi, c'est le meilleur des 2 mondes : garder la fédération (instances, centres d'intérêts & communautés) avec les extensions (meetup, kanban, alternative de Google Groups, etc.). Ça pourrait ramener plus de monde !

hello, merci pour l'accueil. En fait j'ai vu un tray sur #mastodon qui parlait de #bonfire et notamment les aspects "cercles" / aspects plus ou moins publics des messages… du langage utilisé, de la fédération…etc…

Sans véritablement en comprendre la mise en œuvre et surtout l'expérience "usager"
Il y a donc un paquet de choses à fouiller pour moi… et j'aime ça généralement ^^
Et tenter l'expérience me semble la meilleure des choses pour percevoir la réalité des choses 😄

I notice the menu is now at the bottom of the screen on mobile, #melikey
Thet right-align icons under posts are strange at first but handy for the right-handed i am. Guess lefties won't appreciate tho.
Kinda strange to see "X followed Y" on local timeline but in the end it's a good idea to discover new people to follow.
On the bad news : i can't see what i'm typing past a certain amount of text. Like rivht now i dont' see what i'm typing. Might be some typos then^^
Maybe a little too much space between paragraphs ? But still, UI is pretty slick.

Why not using the Gemini syntax for block-style links? Getting this right is part of why this protocol inherently conveys so much social potential.
I'm not sure we'd need the Markdown syntax tbh: it's too complex and I don't think we'd need inline links. These and someone's own ideas are different things and I believe need to be treated differently.
On the other hand: some people are using antisocial media (I don't mean it as a way to dunk on Twitter, this is informed by sociology lectures) precisely to flee oppressive social contexts, especially when they're underage. Special roles could still help them of course – a Bonfire instance could be managed by a public service, now that I think about it.

How about caching RSS/atom feeds like ActivityPub servers already do with ActivityPub accounts? My use case is very simple, I want to be read by ActivityPub users without having to narrow my platform choices to ActivityPub blogging platforms.
Users would add RSS/atom feeds like they would subscribe to an account and could hopefully share blog posts without ActivityPub, e.g. by copying the post contents and adding a link.

Sono molto curioso di seguire l'evoluzione di #bonfire e perciò ho deciso che il modo migliore di farlo fosse... farlo da dentro l'istanza.
Finora ho notato un ambiente grafico che, per quanto acerbo, è molto gradevole, funzionale e accogliente.
Sono un utente #mastodon molto attivo e amministro un'istanza #lemmy e un'istanza #friendica; proprio in quanto utente friendica sono molto interessato a come viene implementata la funzione delle cerchie di Bonfire.

I am very curious to follow the evolution of #bonfire and therefore I decided that the best way to do it was ... do it from inside the instance.
So far I have noticed a graphic environment which, despite its very young age, is very pleasant, functional and welcoming.
I am a very active #mastodon user and I administer a #lemmy instance and a #friendica instance; just as a friend user I am very interested in how the Bonfire circles function is implemented.
As far as I'm concerned, talking about "Post-growth entrepreneurship" is a little like talking about "Non-lethal assassination"...
You need to re-examine your terms and the systems of assumptions and associations which enable those terms to be meaningful.
I'm 70 years old. I've concluded that when I use the word "community" most people don't interpret it to fully mean what I intend.
I attribute this to decades of a semantic "hollowing out" of the term, supported by mass media, appropriation by a host of snake-oil business consultancies, and accelerated by online social platforms.
By and large, when I invoke the need to #seizethemeansofcommunity I am pointed in the direction of various tools and platforms that support and promote associations.
