First bug!
When adding a profile avatar (go to profile, then edit and click the avatar to choose a new one) the image does not update at this time to show the chosen image. But if you "Save" the profile anyway your new avatar does now show correctly.
Hey all, so how's everyone getting on with circles/boundaries?

The point in an online microblogging exchange [elsewhere, not on Bonfire] where I am moved to invoke "Quine", "ostension", "inscrutability of reference", "Lakoff", and "prototype effects" is the point at which I find it necessary to tell myself to slowly back away from the keyboard ...
Past events exist, after all, only in memory, which is a form of imagination. The event is real now, but once it’s then, its continuing reality is entirely up to us.

This is quite a sincronicity indeed, because we are having this discussion again with @mayel since the past week.
It makes me wonder 2 things:
Having worked on a lot of projects with low/no budget, particularly at their beginning, I wonder if a good 'solidarity' support structure could be designed?
Im thinking free to get going, with some explanation of resources required to keep it going and requests for contributions.
Maybe some easy way for the hoster to have good visibility into resource usage and to trigger requests - that could optionally go out to the instance 'admin' and/or their users (give the admin some choices)
Also have some clearly defined streams for regular contributions where you may then avoid requests

The playground has been upgraded with a few tweaks plus an initial release of the topics functionality. Keen to see how you all use it! We need to add some docs, but in the meantime you should know you can tag a topic in a post by using + for a mention instead of @, so for example +bonfire +fediverse

I have a suggestion for Bonfire:
Neither clicking on a hashtag under "Trending topics" nor searching for the hashtag in the search box brings up any results, even for hashtags I have used in my own posts.

Might be my lack of understanding, but I'm assuming that by defining a 'circle' I'm adding a group of people to a list.
This is different to creating a 'boundary' where I'm defining permissions of the people in that list in relation to my posts.
Is that right? At the moment, I feel like the circle/boundary language could be clearer?
Oh cool, I'll update the post then!
I have a suggestion for Bonfire: changing the post visibilty doesn't close the menu
@BonfireBuilders #bonfire_feedback
oops this was the old boundary dropdown, we had restarted the instance and forgot to re-enable the new boundaries (currently tagged in the code as an "experimental feature" which needs to be explicitly enabled)
