fwiw loading the local feed seems to take some time in my Firefox on MacOS. Compared with social.coop/mastodon for example, it seems laggy.
Agreed, it was really snappy this morning (I asked and server is ARM-based, quad-core with 24GB RAM) so there's something going on...
Loading these feeds is so slow! Leaving this payground for today. Life is too short to wait so long for the screen. Goodnight.

@dajbelshaw @barefoot_doc @mayel just had a bit of a browse around (home & local timeline, feeds in peoples profiles) and feeds were all loading within a couple of seconds for me. Went to local timeline and it took noticeably longer to load. Tapping to load the conversation and it was quicker again.
Looking at the local timeline it doesnt appear anyone else is posting - so Im guessing its not currently in heavy use?
@Dazinism @barefoot_doc you may want to give it another spin after we applied the fix @dajbelshaw found :)
