I wonder if it is possible for a fedi project like bonfire to keep old user images on a post when a user uploads a new user image. Ideally, the user could choose when changing the user image if all previous versions of the image should be overwritten or kept.
On my profile, "followed" is empty, but I know I followed several accounts.
OOps that should have been "Following" is empty

Can see the value in encouraging 2FA but maybe after sign up there's a notification that you "haven't set up two factor authentication yet"?
Agree. I didn't do it because it would have hindered signing up and getting started.
Just signed up. Looking forward to meeting the other Bonfire citizens.
For LibreWolf users, please, can somebody check if in the profile page or any user (i.e. https://playground.bonfire.cafe/@ivan) you see the avatars like the one in the image?.
I don't have many extensions on librewolf but on Firefox the problem doesn't show so it could be just me.

The user interface seems to suggest that I want to do serial posting most of the time, which I think should not really be encouraged.
So after I push the "post" button, instead of showing me the result of my labor, bonfire shows a toast message with a link that would lead me there.
My sense is that posting something should show me what I sent out into the world immediately, as others will see it. Because the composition and display can be quite different, you will spot typos etc. Also probably I want to see if somebody is reacting to what I posted.
Just keeping me at the post composition makes it look like I should just keep posting, without concern for feedback.
There will be no mass-based feminist movement as long as feminist ideas are understood only by a well-educated few.

One of the best features in Mastodon/Hometown is "delete & re-draft" — would be good to have that on here as well.

The default avatar pictures seem to depict robots mostly. That sends a weird message I think.
Also their style doesn't fit to bonfire, you should be a squirrel or a bear instead, if you're not going for totally abstract default avatars.
Also the default banner picture looks a bit apocalyptic. Less like bonfires on mountain tops, but like volcanos. An abstract pattern would be better.

I have a suggestion for Bonfire:
@BonfireBuilders #bonfire_feedback Testing Bonfire with 2 browsers: in LibreWolf (Firefox fork) and Brave Browser, when writing a new article, the emoji is somewhat placed at the beginning of the article (example: "🔥Hello world!"). It happens when I searched a specific emoji with the placeholder. Otherwise, it works perfectly, even for "frequently used" emojis. 👍
This used to happen to me but seems to be fixed now? 🙃

Emojis from the emoji picker are always inserted as the first character in the post editor. However when I'm using this "Share feedback" form they're inserted at cursor position.
Oh yes sure, system-ui is just the CSS name 😅
…also an excuse for me to try monospace formatting. 😉

I have a suggestion for Bonfire: two things:
- I'd suggest moving the 'Have some feedback?' box above 'Trending topics' as it's below the fold, even on my 3:2 screen.
- It would be great if I could press Ctrl+Enter to post from the compose box!
system-ui in addition to the ones you selected.
